Humans share two realities with each other and all other living things--birth and death. I know it's been the church's traditional teaching for eons that both dying and death are the consequences of the first couple's rebellion in the Garden of Eden. But there's an alternative perspective I've written about in one of my books. It is a perspective far more consistent with Judeo-Christian teachings and certainly more consistent with nature and biology.
The fundamental problem is that most baby boomers do not understand the value of a funeral service. If they do not understand it.they cannot embrace it.and they will not spend money on it.

Who would forget Nathaniel Adams Coles or famously known as Nat "King" Cole? He was a famous jazz musician and singer of his time and first African-American to host his own TV Variety show (The Nat King Cole Show 1956). He was diagnosed and died from lung cancer at age 45.
When you send flowers to a funeral home the family generally does not take them home. If you want the family to have something for their home it would more likely occur and be more convenient if you sent the flowers to the home directly.
The people are all so afraid of Death. They want to live forever. They hate Death. How could they not? Death is frightening, to be sure. It always wins. And it will come for everyone eventually, because no one can cheat Death.
Years past, the grave and its existence disappeared. A tractor mower had knocked over the temporary grave marker, and weeds soon engulfed this neglected resting-place. It was almost as if the man had never lived at all. It remained that way for almost seven years following his death.
